what's the setting is yoUR dryer?

Marge (Art Impressions) is having a meltdown, what with it being Monday and laundry all at the same time!  When I spied an ad recently for these yellow dryers and washer in a fashion magazine,
I knew it would make a humorous card.

Just look at the call over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers: SoSS #56- J is for Joke.
Marge might be distressed, but let's dial down normal and see if it doesn't help.
I used a long retired Basic Grey 'Urban Prairie' pattern for the wallpaper background.
A bit of cotton trim, a few staples.
Marge was fussy cut and placed  along side that D-luxe dryers.
She was colored with Copics.

I definitely like my humor on the subtle side.  How about you?
Now about that spin cycle...

Be a work of Art

It was easy to fall in love with the Moxie Fab World Get Inspired by Fashion Challenge.  What's not to love about this houndstooth jacket? I just had to dress this fabulous B Line Designs 'Anticipation'
lady in Basic Grey houndstooth.  She's ready to head out for a luncheon with her gloves and hat.
It's one last glance in the mirror and then out the door.

The Get Inspired by Fashion Challenge

The driftwood mirror over on the at west end website  inspired me to create her reflection in my shell mirror using reflective paper and free handing her jacket top.  Of course having that Oscar Wilde quote was the perfect accessory, wouldn't you say?

May you have time for artful pursuits this weekend and time to pause for reflection, too.

Blessings,
Susan

stolen moments

No, this is not a self portrait!  I do wish for you moments to catch your breath amid all the hustle and bustle of the season.  And find joy in what comes your way!
