scatter joy

Over at 365 Card Blog the challenge today is to frame it. And it was so easy, I am almost embarrassed to post. I knew exactly what sentiment I wanted to use with this photo of Siberian Poppies taken from my garden. I used PSE to enhance the picture, though, the poppies really are this gorgeous shade of blue. The petals are cut and popped to add dimension. The oval frame is a B Line Design image which was stamped on GP white with Tim Holtz walnut stain ink and embossed with TH black soot distressed powder. The scatter joy (a Daisy Bucket clear acrylic stamp) was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black.

I'm sending this out today to someone who need a bit of cheer. I think we could all remember to scatter our joy along our paths today! Have a wonderful weekend, wherever on this earth you are!

Yahweh

This is my 6x6 page for the His Holy Names 09 challenge, the name LORD.  I am totally blessed by studying the Bible and several reference books on the names of God.  Each one has allowed me to learn more about the character of God.   And after meditating on scripture, I get to bring the word to life.

Righteousness

I have been so blessed by the His Holy Names challenge in just the few weeks of the new year.  I am using Kay Arthur's "Lord, I want to know you" Bible study to augment my knowledge.  This February 15 challenge is no exception.  The word is Righteousness.  In Hebrew that word is Jehovah-tsidkenu. One thing that was especially dear to me is that GOD had a plan, a way to redeem all mankind from the effects of Adam and Eve's original sin.  To take my black, foolish heart and write HIS precepts upon my heart and make me whole, fresh again.  It just requires me to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Which I do with all of myself.

I love this scripty heart stamp from Michelle Ward (Stampington).  It seemed perfect to go with my scripture from Jeremiah.  Once again this 6x6 page is a hybrid word with alot of the printing done in Photoshop.  I am seriously enjoying learning my way around PS as I create.  Kind of like me, a balance of external and internal.  The scripture page lifts up and has the Third Day Worship song, "Your Love Oh LORD" printed on striped paper (making the WT challenge of stripes).  I saved room writing personal observations there also.

Thanks so much for commenting and standing with me on this journey.  Be blessed

Yipee, Skipee!!! I learned something new!

I have to begin by saying I'm not sure about this blogging thing...the way I write and create is a bit like molasses  so I'm going to take the slow road...

But I am so proud of myself...I learned something new today in Photoshop!  I had wanted to make a vertical watermark for the longest time.  Well...though it took awhile, I created an alternative to my standard one.  Check it out on this card I uploaded to SCS yesterday for the Limited Supplies.  Funny thing...I had been unable to use my original watermark for some odd reason...and knowing so little about Photoshop, I couldn't figure out what my problem was!  Well somewhere in that grey matter a lightbulb flashed  'click on the drag' box...amazing it worked... 'all of a sudden'!  So girls, if there is any one left who doesn't know how to do this, I'd be happy to share!!!

Enjoy where you are today.

My header photo is out my kitchen window.  That is beauty berry...sets the berries beginning in August and last through the winter.  I have such a variety of the little birds who feast all through the cold.  My plaque is one of my favorite sentiments..."TODAY IS A GIFT that is why they call it the PRESENT!
